Man, when we started this kitchen project I don't think we realized how hard it would be to live without a kitchen for 4 weeks! We ate out the first week and realized that we could not sustain that type of lifestyle. Now we have just been having to get creative with our meals which means grilling out every night in 20-30 degree weather... But hey, it's Friday so that means we can eat out!
The countertops are coming in on Wednesday and the plumber is coming to install the sink & finish hooking up our gas stove on Thursday so we will be up and running in no time! Now if we could just put all the finishing touches together... If you can't tell, we are ready to have this baby done and are seriously running out of steam. But no one said it was gonna be easy!
Anyway, here are some things I am "favoriting" this week!
We were going to do a patterned tile backsplash behind our stove to add some interest. That was before we were so ready to be done, so I decided to go the easy route and do a pattern wallpaper instead! I am not sure how it will turn out but if we like it, it will save us a ton of time & money.
I found Livettes wallpaper on Etsy & they have a ton of great options! I ended up buying this Geometric Flower wallpaper because I thought it looked the most like tile.
This was my inspiration, so hopefully I can get a similar look.
Don't tell Taylor, but someday I might want to add a few of these wall lights to the kitchen above our open shelves! They would add some much needed light to the space & be so cute! Plus, they are only plug in, so no rewiring needed. Easy peasy.
