Last week was a whirlwind. We completely gutted the kitchen last weekend and put in all the cabinets, filler stripes & pulls in one week. We nearly killed ourselves to get it done & had some long nights but now that we are finished & a big step closer to having our kitchen back, it seems like it was worth it (don't ask Taylor yet, it might take him a bit longer to agree with me on this one).
This is where we were at last Saturday...yikes!
and after a long week of building cabinets, leveling, a few "ugh, are you freaking kidding me?!" moments, this is what it looks like today!
Now that everything is ready on our side, the counter top company is ready to come measure! We are realllly hoping that it doesn't take as long as we are expecting (we have heard estimates up to 4 weeks) to get the countertops in once they have measured but at least the biggest overhaul on our side is complete!
Next up is the vent hood over the range & open shelving! Here is what I am thinking for the open shelves. I love the industrial, casual feel this style of shelf would bring to our space. With everything else being black and white, the natural wood will be so yummy!
We are redoing our flooring eventually but we know that isn't going to be a quick weekend project so we are holding off for a few weeks to build up stamina! Our inspiration for the flooring is similar to this but in a lighter color.
Gorgeous right?!
