This week on Favorite Things Friday I'm talking everything Christmas! My birthday was this week, so if you missed it, here are a few things you can buy to make up for it. Just kidding (kinda). We started decorating our home for Christmas as part of my birthday present! It took us about 5 minutes...I realized we hardly have anything to decorate with because we now have an entire home to fill to make it feel cheery instead of just a one bedroom apartment. So I am on the hunt for some Christmas decor! Here are some I'm loving & considering for our home!
Now that we have a fireplace, stockings are a must-have for me. The only problem is that I am cheap & find it a bit crazy to spend so much on stockings! I have been looking around to find some that I like and then considering making them myself. I know, I know, but sometimes I just can't help myself when it comes to getting exactly what I want & saving money! These are some I am really liking & are a pretty good price.
I am pretty traditional when it comes to Christmas decor. My mom's tree always was red & gold so I think it rubbed off on me & that is all I want throughout my home for Christmas. I want everything to feel extra homey & cozy around the holidays & I think this tree skirt does just that!
Plus, how cute are those reindeer!
I have also been wanting some holiday pillows to put out & of course Target has the best selection! I must have a thing with holiday animals because I am loving these reindeer pillows & this moose one! If you aren't as in to animals as me, here is a more traditional "merry" pillow. Or, you can't go wrong with a jolly santa!
Now the only thing we need is all of these things & a tree and we are done decorating for the season! Hopefully you guys can read the sarcasm in that sentence. We have a long way to go before our home is as decorated as I'd like it & I know by most people's standards I am already behind but I am determined to just enjoy the ride & appreciate the few things we do have! #tistheseason
